I'm sick and tired of all the ignorant people who believe woo. I'm also shamelessly plugging my blog: http://mully410.b...
Its not near as good as the blogs I read regularly: Bad Astronomy, Skepchick, Skepticblog and the SGU Podcast.
Because it's cool.

Hey, Craig, FYI there's Sand Hill crane viewing tours at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge on Oct. 15th and 22nd. Just google the refuge to find out more. You have to register for it so that the staff know how many people are going to show up.
Welcome Craig. I look forward to meeting you at a future meeting. The current challenges are to use the latest albums. One is to post pictures of buildings in an original state and then your modified version to show what you do to your pictures. The second is to take a picture provided by a member and do something creative with it. Look at some of the previous months challenges to see how they go. I do a lot of nature as well. I post a lot out at http://jpgmag.com/people/bstradling![]()

Is there anything happening for Darwin day?
Graig, I agree that the meetup I proposed is too soon . January 20 would be better. 34th and Hennepin is a venue that can accommodate ten to fifteen.
Craig, I hope this is the way to get back to you. I will introduce the issues looking to explore these and related questions with no intention to resolve or debate. Two weeks later would work. I suggest Dunn Bros at 34th and Hennepin as the venue.
Hey Craig,
I guess a library meeting room would work - -I don't think I have ever picked the venue in 27 years .
insidious deer? do you mean those rats on stilts? there is a deer trail right outside my dining room, the longer I live here the more I dislike them. hope you and the car can avoid them
Craig, did you know that Michael Shermer is lecturing Th 10/14 at 7pm at U of M?
Craig,
I use NX2 and like it quite a lot. I regularly use it to post process HDR images created with Photomatix Pro. Control Points are a really powerful feature. Of course, it was designed to work with Nikon .nef files.
